75-85 days to maturity. Dara is the relative of cultivated carrots growing to a height of 36-50" with a spread of 16-20" of 3-5" blooms. 7-15 stems per plant. This annual flowers from midsummer to fall and is a great attraction to bees, butterflies, other beneficial insects and birds with its pollen rich flowers and seeds. Flower heads are umbelliferous, white before they first open, pink when first open and then becoming a rich burgundy as the flowerhead closes. Outstanding cut flowers. Daucus has the common names as False Queen Anne's Lace, Wild Carrot or Flowering Carrot.
